Emblems, wheels, grills and trim – anything that vinyl can’t do, we can solve with Plasti-Dip..

  • Sometimes we tackle a customers grill, or trim that vinyl can’t easily contour due to its complex shape. Emblems often fall under this category. If you’re looking for that all-black (or white) look without having to de-badge your car, we have a solution for those difficult to ‘vinyl-warp’ pieces – Plasti Dip.
  • Plasti Dip, for those who don’t know, is a spray on rubberized coating that mimics the quality and look of vinyl. It has a long lasting quality, and is completely removable if ever you’d like to return your piece to its original colour.

So when you think that the shape of your grill or emblems will be too difficult to wrap, but still want a reversible solution to altering their colour, let us know, we can help!

ALMS @ Mosport, Ontario Canada July 22nd-24th

The ALMS brought quite a hype to the GTA this past weekend. Along with the fantastic weather and track temperatures, we were fortunate to grab a spot at the Porscheplatz in turn 9 which brought about quite a bit of excitement.

We parked the C2S and made for the pits on day 1. This was a great opportunity to expand on ideas for our personal track car and get a good look at what everyone was fabbing up. I must say the ingenuity we saw was fantastic; the personalization and minor fabrication to kill time on the track really shined over the weekend for some teams.

The touring car race brought some tight competition and some exciting racing. Same for the GT3 Cup series and Prototype Lights.

The big cars took to the track Sunday for the big event. Muscle Milk Prototype (LMP1) dominated the weekend with quickest qualifying lap times, and a 1st place podium finish Sunday night. In the GT class, the BMW team was the favourite, aiming for a hat-trick win after 2 consecutive podium finishes. Unfortunately, the Corvette took this win from both the BMW and factory Porsche team, Flying Lizard.

We’ll see what happens next race!

Skymeet 2011 Coverage

Skymeet 2011 went a little something like this …

6 am departure from Montreal.. 5x the gas fumes en route to Toronto.. 4x gas pitstops.. A lot of sun.. Great people.. And a memorable event!

We made the trek quite early as the drive was an expected 5 hours, and we had a few scheduled pitstops along the way to meet up with fellow owners from Ottawa and Brockville. The lot of us rolled into the parking lot at what we thought, was early… We were quite wrong..

The turn out was better than expected, at 60+ Skylines ranging from R32 GTST’s, GTR’s to the new R35; Skymeet left a very prominent impact on Skyline ( as well as car community ) history, in Eastern Canada.

A big thanks to the guys at Right Drive in Vaughan who threw this all together. We can only hope that next years is bigger and better!

Long awaited..

Well after a five month haul, the NelsonMX R32 Skyline is back on the road!

We experienced quite a few glitches along the way, but all in all, the experience gained and methodical planning and execution of the car truly worked out in our benefit.

Our RB20 managed to pull out 354 whp and 360 wtq at 23 psi on the dyno (Mustang dyno). We backed this off to a respectable 300 whp and 300 wtq for daily street use.

The final weight of the car is a solid 1090 kg with a full tank of gas, and all essential fluids. Missing are the roll cage and 5 point harnesses, but with the addition of a carbon hood and trunk, as well as new bucket seats, we should still see a weight well below the 1100 kg mark.

Check into the final stages of our 2011 build thread to see the details!
